Homework Club at Aardvark Education

 

What is Homework Club?

Homework Club is a controlled and positive environment for the

successful completion of homework without fuss. Students are expected to bring their own homework. Early finishers will be given educational games to play until the session ends. We will have a plate of fruit and water available for crunch' n' sip after school.

 

What is the benefit of doing homework at Aardvark Education?

Homework Club is supervised by local primary teachers. The emphasis is on settling down to work, and enjoying the homework process as a way of practicing and consolidating their learning. 

 

Once homework is completed the teacher will set an educational game or activity for the children to work on until they are collected.

 

Sometimes settling down to do homework at home is hard with distractions of television, technology and older or younger siblings. This is especially true of children who struggle with aspects of their learning. Bringing them to a quiet, 'can-do' environment will help them develop good habits and confidence.

 

Students can stay for all or part of the session. We recommend a 40 minute stay for infants aged children, and the full time for projects and primary aged children.  



Costs - $20 per session, $15 if parents wish to stay to work with their child.

Thursdays 4.45-6pm
