ABOUT

 

Aardvark Education was established to fill a need in education in Mudgee today. We believe that children genuinely want to learn, and provide activities and programs that support their educational, social, and emotional wellbeing.



Nestled within the  well known White Tigers Centre, Aardvark Education is an exciting education space run by Primary Teacher Johanna May. Johanna has background in Remedial Therapy, Martial Arts and Youth Work giving her a unique perspective on the needs of children and parents today.

 

With a focus on creativity and flexibility, Aardvark will provide a range of services and programs for children, parents and educators.

 

Aardvark Education believes in fostering a lifelong love of learning, developing the personal qualities of discipline, perseverance, .

 

Currently we offer:

  • Holiday Educational Activities

  • Stress Management for Teachers

  • Homework Club

 

Coming in 2015:

  • Small Group Tutoring (K-6)

  • Pizza and Games Nights. (K-6)

  • Mathematics for Parents - Understanding the New Way of Teaching Number.

Child Safety

 

All staff of Aardvark Education have current First Aid and Working with Children Checks, Anaphylaxsis and Child Protection Training.

 

Your child's safety is of our utmost concern. Safe kids learn better!

 

With an attention to discipline and high expectations on behaviour, your child will be supervised and guided in developing sensible, responsible and safe behaviour.

​Staffing



Johanna May is a casual teacher registered with the Department of Education and the Catholic Education Office. Working across the local schools of Mudgee, from Kandos, to Gulgong and Mudgee, she understands education delivery in the local context.

 

Combining a fresh perspective with returning to basics skills development, her programs bring learning to life.

 

Other local educators and specialists will be invited to run programs in the Aardvark Education space. Stay tuned for details.
